The day was my special day, the day I’d been waiting for all year. The one and only day that I am a special girl. There I was in the school hall on my birthday. The class had been asked to choose partners for a dance, and as usual, because there was an odd number, I was left out. ON MY BIRTHDAY… I could hear the music it was happy and cheerful music, I could also could hear their shoes go click clack, on the timber floor, which made me want to jump around. Everyone was having a great time, the sun was shining like a ball full of happiness, but, I was standing there in the shade where it is dark, gloomy and depressing. The kids were having such fun and they did not even care that I was there all by myself, they didn’t even take the chance to look at me, as they flew past.
