I studied the language while I worked as an engineer for an oil company: while I was speaking to people, I realised that often they didn't understand me. So I began taking lessons at a language school. At first, I didn't speak Arabic well. But when I tried to speak it, I saw that people were very happy and all my meetings became much easier. When I came home, I didn't use the language very much. But last week, a man who didn't know any English visited my company, so I spoke to him in Arabic. While I was speaking to him, I remembered a lot of the language and I felt very happy!
