an пишется когда слово начинается на гласную, а "a
а "а" пишется когда слово начинается на согласную
some пишется когда множественное число, аn/a когда единственное
ок
значит в Countable только egg пишется с an, а все остальные с а
да , только смотрите внимательно, там же tomatoes - это множественное число, значит пишется some, а water допустим мы не можем сказать "одна вода" поэтому тоже пишется some.
короче - an egg, some tomatoes, a sandwich, some cherries.
всё кроме egg и sandwich пишется some
