me with a glass of champagne … (to be) sure it (to be) the first time I ... (to see) him in my life and I ... (not \ to know) his name but half an hour later … (still \ to ask) me questions about my relatives and … (to tell) me something about his new business.

No sooner had I entered the room than a young man came up to me with a glass of champagne I was sure it was the first time I had seen him in my life and I did not know his name but half an hour later was still asking me questions about my relatives and telling me something about his new business.
