If I lost my way in the city, I would ask a policeman how to get to the hotel.
                                   ...  I would find my way on the map.
                                   ...  I would call my friend and ask her to help me.

If I saw a big dog, I would stop and wait for the dog to pass by.
                     ...   I would run away from it as fast as possible.
                     ...   I would get scared and start crying.

If I saw a boy picking flowers in the yard, I would tell him to stop doing that.
