The history of a modern double-decker bus started from the middle of the nineteenth century, when two-storeyed horse-drawn carriages with an open top appeared on London`s streets for the first time. These carriages were painted red and cream color, they could accommodate up to forty people, and it was very convenient in conditions of overpopulation of the capital of Great Britain, suffered from transportation problems.
